Log every scaffold inspection the way the law actually requires.

For small firms and site supers running scaffolds under OSHA's scaffold standard. Generates a compliant register, not a notebook scribble.

If you take an action based on what you read here, that action is yours. We are a guide, not an advisor, and we give this away for free.

General guidance, not professional safety advice. If something's unsafe right now, stop work. Report serious risks to OSHA (www.osha.gov), anonymously if needed.

    What the law actually says

    • •OSHA's scaffold standard requires a competent person to inspect the scaffold before each work shift and after anything that could affect its structural integrity (29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3)).
    • •Everyone who works on or around scaffolds must be trained by a qualified person (29 CFR 1926.454). A dated inspection log is your proof it was done.
